Group of people listening to speaker at Remembering Lee's Summit

Join us for the next  “Remembering Lee’s Summit” on Thursday, April 9, 2026, 6:30-7:30 at Bridge Space.

Our February storytellers (Merle Bowers, Stephen Carpenter, and Jill and Wayne Rice, along with moderator, Carl Chinnery) shared stories about scouts, Rotary Camp, pig farms, fairs, living on Lakeview Street, Elvis, and the RB Rice sausage plant.

Look forward to conversations surrounding topics such as:

  • growing up
  • schools
  • churches
  • parents
  • farming
  • downtown
  • airport
  • telephones
  • government
  • hobbies
  • cemeteries
  • and so much more
Visit the Museum’s Facebook and YouTube page(s) to see recorded snippets of stories from our storytellers.
