The Lee’s Summit History Museum invites you to an evening where you will be lost in a world of stories and memories about Lee’s Summit.

Thank you to Mike Dodig (our moderator) and Gina Hartnett, Buck Langsford, Laurence Pressly, and Dennis Smith (our storytellers) along with our 44 guests at the December “Remembering Lee’s Summit.”

The January 9, 2025 “Remembering Lee’s Summit” will be moderated by Carl Chinnery. The evening’s storytellers (tentatively) are:

Each evening will last one hour and will be moderated. Conversations will surround topics such as:

  • growing up
  • schools
  • churches
  • parents
  • farming
  • downtown
  • airport
  • telephones
  • government
  • hobbies
  • cemeteries
  • and so much more
  • Where: Bridge Space in Historic Downtown Lee’s Summit (210 SW Market St.)
  • When: Second Thursday of each month
  • Time: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Who: Storytellers, friends of Lee’s Summit, and a moderator

There is no charge. Cash donations will be accepted, and a QR code will also be provided for credit card donations. We’ll pop some popcorn, and you can bring your own drink(s) … BYOB.
