Join us for the next “Remembering Lee’s Summit” on Thursday, December 10, 2026, 6:30-7:30 at Bridge Space where we will entertain a bit of a different format.
We are inviting 15 guests to bring in a passed-down heirloom, with preference given to items from Lee’s Summit’s history. If you are willing to share your keepsake and story, please send an email to info@leessummitmuseum.com with the keepsake item you’d like to share. We’ll contact you if you are selected. October’s storytellers were Richard and Robert Batliner (brothers), Nancy Blackwell, and Rick Turney. Many stories and laughs were shared about Lee’s Summit and days gone by. Carl Chinnery was the evening’s moderator.
In August, we celebrated the life of Bud Hertzog (along with the Hertzog family) with a special tribute in honor of what would have been Bud’s 95th birthday. We listened to some cherished stories and enjoyed special birthday treats.
